This course is designed for sophomore students and serves as an introduction to the fundamentals of digital animation. Through the utilization of still and moving images, as well as various software applications, students will explore experimental animation practices. Key topics covered include animation techniques, storytelling, sound mixing, and sequence editing, all geared towards the creation of time-based digital art projects. The course structure includes lectures, screenings, demonstrations, in-class exercises, assignments, presentations, and group critiques.
